I love James Patterson books. The mystery genre is one of my favorites so when I discovered Mr. Patterson, I devoured all his books I could find. The first book I read was The Postcard Killers
. I could hardly put it down. It was full of exactly what I liked as a reader -- twists, turns, realistic characters and story line. I read it very quickly and felt that "satisfaction" you get from a good book read.
I immediately went out and got another book. At the local store, Now You See Her was on the shelf. I bought it and read it quickly as well. I found my mom had a copy of Lifeguard
on her bookshelf and I took possession.
After reading those 3 books, I started to get serious about my addiction to James Patterson books. I did some research and made a spreadsheet of all his books. I had no idea there were so many! He has some series, stand alone mysteries and even some books from the children's, romance and fantasy genres -- something for everyone!
I put together an article and published it along with my spreadsheet. I figured others that loved his books might appreciated a complete James Patterson book list as much as I did. I would read a book, mark it off and go to the next one on the list. For the most part, I read the series books in order and filled in with the stand alone's.
Are all of them home runs? No, but there is not a "bad" book on the list. Some I loved, some I liked and some I might not like as much but they still held my attention as a reader.
If you like mysteries, James Patterson books are must read!
