How much candy do I need?
It depends. If you are buying based on the number of guests then the following guidelines help: For large events, 15 to 20 lbs of each type of candy is recommended. For smaller gatherings, 6 to 10 lbs of each type should suffice.
Alternately, you could supply an amount of candy based on the size, shape and area your candy buffet will fill. This will help keep you on budget. It's more the mind-frame of "first come, first served" and "when it's gone, it's gone". Since not everyone will take candy and others will over-take their alloted amount, it usually works out fine.
